What is Homeopathy?
Homeopathy is a system of medicine founded in 1796 by the German physician Samuel Hahneman. In 1844 The American Institute of Homeopathy was founded as America’s first national medical society. Today Homeopathy is used by more than two-hundred million people worldwide and it has grown into one of the most popular forms of complimentary medicine.
The practice of homeopathy is based on three essential principles: the law of similars (like cures like), minimum dosage, and the application of one remedy at a time. According to the tenets offered in Hahnemann’s treatise The Organon, homeopathy provides a safe, effective and gentle system of medicine to address a totality of symptoms. More than just disease management, homeopathy stimulates the body’s natural healing mechanisms and enables whole and lasting health.
A practicing homeopath for over 20 years, Dr. Ben Zorensky is also a board-certified Naturopathic Physician. Dr. Ben believes in the uniqueness of every individual—mentally, emotionally and physically. Each client’s history and deviation from optimal health, acute or chronic, helps define the disease state that leads to a specific remedy and strategy for dosing.
After a comprehensive initial intake, Dr. Ben monitors the case through regular follow-up visits. New symptoms are factored into the total picture. The ultimate goal is to reduce the frequency, intensity and duration of symptoms until health and wholeness are restored.
